Well it has been quite a day, and by night time I'm going to be in such pain.  I had a "Help I've fallen and can't get up" moment in the kitchen while fixing the girls their dinner.  I was sitting on my rolling stool cleaning up the dishes and tossing out old food when the stool began to roll right out from under me!  Had I been in the Olympics I would have scored straight 10s all around. it was such a beautiful 3 point landing!

After a few expletives and catching my breath I was able to get myself up, in pain of course and complete fixing the girls dinner and set it out for them.  I was feeling it in my back and butt though and I thanked the powers that be that I managed to get all of my "to-dos" done before this happened.  Boy did I ever have some to -dos to do.

I was up kind of late last night, poor Phoebe had been yipping and whining all evening so I grabbed her up to see what was going on and oh Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy , fleas.  So I popped her into the tub for a quick flea bath...keep in mind this was at midnight!!  She was a bit better but still seemed bothered so I made a mental list of what I was going to need from the store in the form of flea repentant, new bedding because I decided to get rid of the pillows her and Sophie had been using.  And of course I had to get dog food, among other groceries.

At the store in the pet department I wasn't going to pay almost $20 per dog bed and then got an idea.  I went to the crafting area after picking up the flea stuff and also picked up something for ear mites.  I found a pair of foam inserts for $8 each that would work very well .  All I would need to do is cover with a pillow case and they would be easy to clean.  Just on and off with a pillow case.

Got home, put groceries away, then grabbed up both dogs and off to the bathtub.   Phoebe was not very happy that she had to go through it again, Sophie just tolerated it and while waiting for the Flea shampoo to work she whined.  We managed to sit out the entire five minutes, I rinsed them down Dried Sophie first so I could get her bundled and in control so I could clean her ears one which has been giving her problems., hence the ear mite medication.  got Sophie as dry as I could get her then came Phoebe who was very happy about getting out of the tub.

Then came the part Sophie really doesn't like...the flea medication.  She can get pretty nasty about it.  I don't know if she doesn't like the smell or if it might burn when it goes on.  Phoebe doesn't seem to mind that part.  I gave them both treats for at least being tolerant of the ordeal.   I was hot and sticky and sweaty and felt yucky after bathing the girls so I jumped in for a quick shower myself and wouldn't you know the two of them were sitting at the door watching LOL.  Got dressed and then headed to make dinner for them and myself, which of course is where I had my fall, to now where I'm watching television and sitting with the heating pad on my back.  I am tired, I am in pain...

Here I am finally settling in for the afternoon with my salad greens with chick peas in ranch dressing accompanied by a tall glass of water.  I am tired, but it has been a pretty productive day for me.  I know for many it would be nothing major but for me, "I done good".

Very motivated this morning after a great night's sleep.  Low humidity all night I had the window open and it was quite cool.  I didn't even need the fans going, in fact I needed a light cover so I grabbed a sheet, doubled it and tossed it over me...slept very well.

After hitting the bathroom I sat down and while watching the Olympics I wrote out a shopping list, then I started getting ready to hit the road.  I got a large tank out to the car and got it all set up.  Came back in and packed the backpack with 2 full tanks and one half tank my inhaler, tank openers, phone and wallet.

I took the dogs out before I left came in and turned the air conditioner to low because the forecast called for more humidity and temperatures were going to be in the 80s and that equal I'd be miserable when I got home and I wanted to walk in on comfort.  I turned off the 02 machine cranked up the portable and was out the door.

The dogs must be getting used to me going out because now they sit in their chair and give me that "bring home lots of goodies" look rather than the "you are going to come back right?" look.  It's nice when I get home though.  They stay back when I tell them to get back and they wait until I get everything inside.  I turn on the O2 machine sit in my chair and they jump into my lap and greet me, wanting to know what amazing things I had brought home .

Then I got up, put groceries away, grab a tank, leashed up the dogs and gave them what they have been waiting for all week without portables, a walk.  Oh they do love their walks and I really felt bad we couldn't go but I had no portables and I can't go very far without oxygen.  I could probably make it to the curb but then I'd get fuzzy headed and not interested in passing out trying to get back inside.

So we did our walk, both girls did all of their business and when we got inside both girls got a tasty treat.  Hot and sweaty myself I went and cleared some junk out of the shed, getting hotter and sweatier and came in hit the bathroom turned on the shower stripped and did a soak in the tepid spray, calming me down, cooling me off and refreshing me.  Now the rest of the day is the Olympics, checking the message boards a nap and time for me to turn of the AC because, yes I am cold now...

Well July certainly went out with a bang.  Hopefully August I can get back on balance.  I am trying to recharge from all the stress.

The dogs know something is up, they have this look of concern in their eyes.  However they've also had an attitude lately.  For some reason what they eat at mealtime hasn't measured up to their expectations and they've been walking away turning their noses up.  I've tried to make it so I tried doctoring it up...that didn't go over either.  I finally just stopped giving them their "doing business outside" treats because they really enjoy those and tonight I found out what the problem was.

Tired of the battle I started feeding Phoebe by hand and damned if she didn't start taking it from me, bite by bite.  Yeah she wanted me to feed her!  Like who is she anyway Paris Hilton's "Tinkerbell"?  I think not!  So I picked up the food dish, and put it back in it's usual spot and she followed and kept eating, at which point Sophie came in and finished her's.  Can you imagine wanting me to feed her?

After getting my new machine set up I had to move Sophie's basket and it is a little difficult for her to jump in head first...I swear this dog has a spring inside her because she stands parallel to the basket and just jumps right in!  It is so funny to watch!  She stands there like she's counting down, nods her head a couple of times and then bloop she's in!

So now it's back to the Olympics, on Face book I mused how the U.S. athletes would be doing if they weren't ingesting the "official" food of the Olympics from McDonald's.

It started out to be a pretty good day.  I woke up kind of early, the humidity was low as was the temperature.  I was able to turn off the larger fan and use the small table one to keep the air circulating since there was a good breeze coming through the window.   Took the girls out and made a note to get them on a walk in a while.

I started doing some picking up around here, tried to see if I could get the other laptop working right...it didn't work.  I did some research for it and found that I could  eventually hook that one to this one so I could have access to the monitor.  I just have to get the right cables and figure out what I'm doing when the time comes.

Time for the walk came, I gathered up my backpack, made sure the O2 tank inside had enough, got the girl's leashes and put on my shoes.  They were in Hog Heaven knowing we were going on a walk!  Out to the road then up a couple of houses and back home.  I sat outside for a few minutes before coming back in to finish the clean up.  got the girls unleashed,  as we came inside.

I was kicking off my shoes while taking off the backpack and felt it as I set the bag down.  I moved wrong and the pain went up into my skull and down to my knees and I almost fell down!  Oh man that hurt!  I made it to the freezer and got an ice pack out before getting to my chair.  Once there I turned on the heating pad so I could use it after icing the pain for a few minutes.  So much for picking up for the rest of the day...so much for doing much of anything for the rest of the day.

Of course I took the pills for my back and I dozed on and off all day in between stretching my back and getting up and down regularly for the bathroom and taking the girls out.  Thank goodness for Roku and Pandora Music...They make for a very relaxing Saturday and a nice way to make pain ease up.

I'm still feeling the pain but not as bad and with a good night's rest I will feel better come morning.  I can only hope we have the nice day tomorrow that we had today because I'd like another walk and to not have to turn on the AC.
